May actually work out better for Columbus if they traded him considering they didn't give up much to get him. Either way it would be a upgrade over Saad.
So true, I forgot they only gave up Saad for him! Well I hope for their sake they trade him and get a decent return. They have a great roster and it's a shame that they can't ever seem to make that jump and be viewed as one of the league's better franchises.

The fans and anybody else who has been paying attention know it doesn't matter if they boo him or not. He's leaving, and there isn't a doubt in my mind about it. He and his wife want to live in a premier city and live the high life. That's been pretty well established. Who can blame him? Time for everybody to move on.

Panarin has reportedly switched agents, and is now represented by Paul Theofanous - Bobrovsky's Agent.

Package deal for both of them in the works? Let the rumours fly!

This is exactly what I thought when I saw he had switched agents!

Let me start the Rumours... To Los Angeles for Kovalchuk, Hagelin and Quick.

Sharing the same agent would sure make it easier for the acquiring team to negotiate dual extensions...

I think it is more of an offseason move, not a trade scenario move.

I'm not sure about that. There's less incentive for a team to trade for them once it hits the offseason as they'll be UFAs shortly. If you can get confirmation they'd sign with you, then why give up assets for them at that point? I know you get to limit the competition a bit, but I'm not sure that'll matter.

Similarly, from Columbus's point of view, if you trade them at the deadline, you are at least trading 20 ish games or so (whatever is remaining), so you'll at least get a pretty solid rental price, and can build in additional assets if they sign there. If you do it in the offseason, you're trading negotiating rights, which would likely be peanuts.

I was talking about him switching agents. I see it as having more of an impact during FA than trade deadline.
