I say he bounces back. This is what I have down for him this season.

I should be in position to trade for Tarasenko for a mid-round pick from a team that's worried about Tank's injury and has too many keeper choices to fit him in to his keep 6.
I would be trading a pick for Tank, because I don't believe the guy has interest in Malkin. However I would have to trade Malkin first to ensure I can fit Tank into my 7 (I get an extra spot for winning this year). The issue for me is I can't fit Malkin into my lineup more than 60 games a year due to having 4 elite Cs and only 3 C slots.
Would you make this pair of moves first of all, and secondly, do you think Tarasenko will bounce back in 2018-2019, or are you also worried about his health and/or rust? Sounds like he will be rehabbing most of the summer not training, so he could be a bit shaky in the fall.

He's an elite athlete, so I wouldn't be too worried about his play. He could get off to a bit of a slow start because, as you say, he rehabbing more than training. It is actually a good bye low time for him. If you can trade Malkin for a similar (if not better) pick than what you're trading for Tarasenko, then I would do it. Your depth at C makes it wise to trade one of your C, anyway, so if you look at it as Malkin for Tarasenko, it's a fair trade, and gives your more elite GP to boot.
Slow start is a possibility, but I'd still be comfortable putting him down for 35 goals and 70+ points
