I'm curious to know how forsberg & Simmonds finished in relation to Rant&Barzy in your scoring format. I'm guessing the latter by a decent margin. That's the side i would want as well.

I stand corrected. I think Simmer has a bounce back year getting over injury but he isnt getting any younger. I think Forsberg will continue his dominant ways. Rant and Bar played out of their minds good but I do expect them to take it up a small notch in their primes. It's a tough one for sure but I think I'm on the youth train. Sorry Wayne. You may lose some points next year but the future outweighs it imo.

I would choose the Barzal Rantanen side. So much potential and I'm a bit worried about Simmonds moving forward since he is already in his late 20s and plays a very rough style of hockey which may be taking a toll on his body.

I'd take the two wingers if you're competing this year or next. Odds of both rantanen and barzel repeating ppg seasons is a bit of a risk imo and if they do they still aren't likely out pointing Forsberg and Simmonds in this format.

I can see Forsberg and especially Simmonds improving next year. Peripherals are obviously huge in this league. Top it off that center (barzel) is easier to fill with a solid replacement. If you're looking beyond 3 years then of course you probably want rantanen and barzel but you probably shouldnt be looking that far ahead.

The old adage of points being harder to find than other stats would normally push me to the Barzal/Rantanen side, but those two are especially bad in some categories and Forsberg could equal or better one or even both of the other two in scoring. If you have any faith in Simmonds reverting back to his usual self, I think that side wins.

In a pts only I'd 100% take Barzal/Rants. Probably still would in ALL STATs but I am not as knowledgeable about all stats leagues

Simmonds out pointed barzel in this league last season (in points per game played). It's very different than points only leagues.

I'd stick with what you have for now. Looks like you're right in the middle of a competitive window, so no need to worry about Simmonds dropping off in a couple seasons. Better to take the higher production now and find a solution when the Wayne Train does start to slow down.

This is a really tough one. I?m a big Forsberg fan boy and everyone is expecting a big bounce back from Simmonds next season so I?d take that that pair over Barzal/Rantanen. And as mentioned above, 2 wingers in more valuable than a centre and winger. Centres are pretty easy to come across.
