Barzal has posted a PPG season, Matthew's has not. Why give up Barzal + 2 players for him?

Agreed. Matthews has more 'perceived' value but Barzal would be getting a lot more attention from the media if he was playing in Toronto. You shouldn't be adding to Barzal to get Matthews. I would just hold onto Barzal for the time being.

With Tavares, yes. Without Tavares, no.

Without tavares, I see him being around 75 pts every season, give or take 5 (so pretty close!)

Way too much to pay for Matthews, unless games played in Toronto count for something.

Barzal is going to win a scoring title someday, imo. He definitely has superstar potential.

Losing Tavares will hurt for sure, not that they played together a lot (except on the power play), but having Tavares matched up against the other team's tougher competition gave Barzal a bit more freedom. Long-term, though, it won't matter...he will be just fine as his game matures.
    12 team, H2H, salary cap
    1 pt/G or A, 2 pts/W, 1 pt/OTL, 1 pt/SO

    Forward: B. Point, M. Necas, A. Debrincat, T. Zegras, J. Bratt, L. Raymond
    Defense: J. Morrissey, A. DeAngelo, S. Gostisbehere, D. Doughty
    Goalie: T. Demko, E. Merzlikins
    Bench: M. Rossi, C. Glass, M. Maccelli, M. Dumba, K. Shattenkirk, F. Andersen
Prospects of Note: L. Stankoven, J. Lekkerimaki, D. Yurov, B. Clarke

League has been running continuously since 1997-98
