Well, now there’s rumours Erik Karlsson has requested a trade. Fun.

Personally I'm not shocked at all.

This could be a big offseason if Karlsson is traded and JT leaves the Island.

Don't pay any attention to Sens fans. For one of the games against Vegas, Winnipeg released a block of 150 tickets for sale the afternoon of the game. Sens fans on Twitter immediately starting going on about the hypocrisy of no mainstream media stories for Winnipeg compared to last year when the Sens had 3,000 unbought tickets the day of a playoff game that had been on sale for a few days. Like the two were completely comparable situations.

It wasn’t a block of seats. It was random and scattered unsold individual seats on Ticketmaster the afternoon of the either May 14th or 15th game. I remember it well. It’s not a big deal. I really don’t care. I laugh at the hypocrisy...but Ottawa deserves to have the entire building unsold. Please don’t group me in with the insane.

well, if you're a Sens fan... you sanity in general needs to be questioned. That's pretty much non-negotiable as far as Leafs fans and likely Habs fans are concerned

What I meant by block, is they released a group of tickets. Obviously, they weren't all going to be in the same section. But the afternoon of the game is when those tickets got released.

but there were blocks of seats - grouped together that were empty during the Sens playoff run. next year I can see them blocking off sections of unsold tickets, kinda like the Jays do to the 5th deck in the outfield.

I am pretty sure they all ended up getting sold though.

They already do that in Ottawa. They have a section that is covered by huge black tarps/blankets and no one can buy tickets for that area. I think this was done to increase demand (lol), but in reality all it does is force everyone to sit a bit closer together so you don't have as many huge gaps in the crowd.

perhaps...I don't really know. Makes sense that they'd open the section for those games, though, because I think they almost always sell out.

That may well be - just pointing out that Bettman refusing to let newer US teams move really wasn?t accurate. There was no qualification given for this refusal but I figured I?d point out that a newer US team has moved somewhat recently. Whatever.

Really, it is the offseason of the Canadian Tire Fire for this team. I just don't know how they recover.

Take heart. Every team goes through it’s clown show phases from time to time. I think the Sens would benefit most from an ownership change. This crazy girlfriend thing is truly unfortunate but ultimately not the team’s fault at all. Maybe a Karlsson trade will do for the Sens what the Lindross trade did for the Nordiques/Avs.
