This group was very hard to decide on from places 2-4. While I see France winning the group handily, any of the other 3 can advance in my opinion. The favourites to get out of the group with France is Denmark, but we always see some surprises at the World Cup and for that reason I see the little Peruvians getting the chance to faceoff against Argentina in the Round of 16, and losing.

France is your 2018 runner-up, losing to Germany. Along the way they will eliminate Croatia in the Round of 16, Uruguay in the quarter-finals and Brazil in the semi-finals. Star forward Antoine Griezmann will win the Golden Boot as the tournament's top goal scorer.

Give me France & Denmark... just don't see Peru advancing

France is the easy choice to finish first. But Peru and Denmark are ranked 11 and 12 currently. So it is like splitting hairs there. So take Denmark who have a significantly better 2018 ranking but their 2017 ranking is significantly lower.

Don't put much of anything into the FIFA world rankings, it is a severely flawed system.

France vs Germany is the most likely Final. If the other teams in this group get a result vs France they most likely go through.

Denmark plays France last and France will most likely already have this group set by then. Denmark could play france without some key french players

France should be a few classes above their opponents here. Peru is in strong form, has a better generation of players that they?ve had since the 70s and will be boosted that Guerrero has been reinstated. Denmark looked all but dead for a while, but have been very good for the past calander year or so. I think it?ll be an interesting battle for 2nd actually.

France vs. Italy friendly today at 2:30pm ET being televised on TSN4 for those interested. Good warm up match for France and a good test for Italy as they try to right their ship. Should be a good one.
