Default Any sly poolies out there?

I just took over a team in a H2H Dynasty league with multiple scoring categories. G, A, P, PPP, SOG, +/-, FOW, hits and blocks. Goalies are W, saves, sv% and GAA.
My question is though, I?ve searched the minor leaguers and picked up a couple players that weren?t drafted and/or picked up?d yet by everyone else in the league. All the good ones seem to be taken though, so maybe I?m in a good league. Is there anyone you guys can think of that may not be taken yet? Minor leaguers or players that people might have missed.

Would help to know how deep the league is. How many teams, active roster size, prospect roster size. Otherwise nearly impossible to answer

It's really impossible to answer this question, as we have no idea how deep your league is. How many teams, and how many prospects per team. For all we know, your league could run 50 prospects deep, or 500. We have no way of knowing.

If your league s less than 250 prospects held, you could compare Dobbers 200 top F and 50 top D prospects...

Who else is available? That sounds like a shallow league-- only 120 prospects are owned, there's definitely some good guys you can add. Look for Robert Thomas, Morgan Frost, Dylan Sikura, Adam Fox, Ryan Donato... just a few prospects off the top of my head who have seen a big value spike in the last few weeks/months. Could be available. As a previous reply mentioned, Dobber's prospect rankings is a great resource for you.

Also, Kovalchuk and Voynov are kinda meh when compared to a lot of other options available in 12 team leagues. You could probably add some other nice pieces too!

Best to post your team to give guys an idea what you have. Need to make a plan for the future, trade some of your guns for top prospects... 8 keepers so some teams may have some players they can't keep that woulds be one of your 8 keepers. Lots of help here to get you competitive quickly.

That is a shallow league. I really would start by comparing the 120 prospects owned versus the two dobber lists. Batherson might be available, his value has gone up a lot in the last year.

Posting your full team would be helpful.

Ok sorry guys. Here is my team and their ranking last year:
But first, somehow Kopitar was #1 in the league and Hellebuyck was 2.

    My team has
    #3 Malkin
    #6 Giroux
    #7 Bobrobsky
    #9 Wheeler
    #33 Ovechkin
    #86 Getzlaf
    #92 Hornqvist
    #107 Pietrangelo
    #247 Hoffman
I picked up Kovalchuk and Voynov when I saw they were available.

When I saw how bad my minor league team was, I picked up:
    Sikura, Dylan C,RW - CHI
    Terry, Troy C,RW - ANA
    Larsson, Jacob D - ANA
    Persson, Joel D - EDM
    Sorokin, Ilya G - NYI
So my minor league team consists of them and
    Aston-Reese, Zach C,RW - PIT
    Frost, Morgan C,LW - PHI
    Jost, Tyson C,LW - COL
    Kamenev, Vladislav C,LW - COL
    Rasmussen, Michael C - DET
    Nylander, Alexander RW - BUF
    Subban, Malcolm G - LV

I can only keep 10 of those 12 minors. Are any of them obvious drops and who should I look to add?

    We dress 4C, 4LW, 4RW, 6D and 2G in this H2H pool.

I wouldn't be surprised to see someone in Dobbers' top 50 F or top 20 D be available... 120 max prospects taken.. there's some juicy talent available - guaranteed. I had dynasty draft last year, where I took Labanc in the 12th round (13 teams) he was ranked top 11th at the time on dobber's 200 F prospects.

I would start by sorting the 'un-owned' players by percentage owned in other leagues. See who pops up to the top then figure out why.

I would then start sorting all the different CATS and see what pops up towards the top. Then I would sort all the CATS by a certain date ranges and see who pops up.

Then I would look at the Dobber Top Prospect lists and cross-reference to see who is unowned in your league.

Keep going down this rabbit hole until it becomes boring. By that point, you will have a firm grasp of what is on the WW in your league. Once you understand who is available for free you can really start to zero in on what player values are in trade/draft/etc.

I second this-- definite drops in your league. I'd even consider dropping Aston-Reese for someone on waivers, probably better options out there.
