Wow... thats messed up! thats so messed up that not even funny!
And just think if someone would have used force to prevent her from doing it they would be in big trouble.
A woman in Langley BC gets so ticked off at a Tims employee that she literally takes a dump on the floor, picks it up and flings it at employees. I'd say Holy Crap but that seems too fitting here.
Here's the link of the story and there's even a video. What it at your leisure/discretion LOL!

I am 60 years old and that may be the strangest behaviour I have seen in my entire life. This women has obvious serious mental health issues and needs immediate help. I don't know what else to say.
Crazy. I wonder if she was asking to use the bathroom and they said no? Still though. Wow.

That is about as big a show of disrespect as you can get. I wonder what kind of charges she is going to face... I hope that they are merciless with her.

It's at the very least assault. Possibly assault causing bodily harm if they can articulate it with a potential disease implication (spitting in someone's face can be assault causing bodily harm... Marchand.. Ahem.. Marchand.. This is worse imo at least) which is much more serious.
Starbucks recently changed their bathroom policy to allow anyone to use them. I wonder if Tim Hortons follows suit after this. It does remind one of a monkey in a cage.

there's some criminal charges, but I would think the owner could go after her for damages. She created a massive health-code violation which should have resulted in shutting down that restaurant, possibly for the entire day, not to mention possibly needing to toss out coffee & product. Potential suit for lost product, expected income, paid wages etc...
literally created her own shit-storm. As Godin said, likely she has some mental health issues, wouldn't it be something if the owner reached out to this person vs. the possibility I outlined above.

according to the cbc, the employee denied the woman access to the washroom. CBC also states that the woman is "known to the police" and that crown will determine whether or not charges are laid. I'd bet at least even money she's not charged...
She throws a great sinker, or wait, is that a stinker?
I am not sure exactly what the legality of refusing washrooms in Canada are, but according to CBC also, the staff denied her access to the washroom out of concerns for her past behaviour in the attempt to keep the other customers and staff members safe. Based on this incident, I would suggest that those concerns are probably well-founded.
Now I understand that we can’t hear what is being said to her, and we don’t see what happened to the customer prior to this happening, but there are not a lot of things that you could tell me that we don’t know about this incident that would make me think that this was an acceptable response.

One thing most people either forget or don't realize is that restaurants, banks, basically all businesses - clothing stores, future shop, staples, wal-mart - they are all PRIVATE businesses. Which means, those running them do have a right to ask anyone they do not want on their property to leave. Basically the same as a home. While the public is welcome to shop, visit, eat at the establishment, it's private. When the cops show up, the individual is escorted off. If they weren't actually causing a problem they'll often try to negotiate on behalf of the individual to have access the business -- but it's really a private matter in what everyone assumes is a public place.

whether something is "acceptable", and whether someone is charged, are two different things.
Clearly the woman is troubled. It wouldn't surprise me if she wasn't charged and ended up in some sort of treatment...
I have no doubt that someone who does this sort of thing has a past with mental illness. The real question for me is, did she not take her meds or why is she still on the streets causing havoc. How are "normal" people supposed to deal with (at least in my opinion) ever growing number of irrational people?
I have a healthy fear of mentally unstable people who have a history of violence. They absolutely fear no one and have nothing to lose. If I hurt them in defending myself or my family, I may very well be charged or hospitalized (if I get knifed), neither is particularly appealing to me when all I wanted to do was have dinner downtown. The police, judges, politicians and doctors have an obligation to protect us from people who are known to be threats to our safety. Many of those officials fail us (and those who need to be institutionalized). I would like the judges, politicians and doctors who fail to recognize the danger they are putting regular people in by not keeping dangerous people off the streets, to take a walk at night downtown with their families. Ride a bus through your downtown. It's an adventure.
