Im stock piling goalie prospects so that when im ready to compete i will hopefully have 2 that will be starters , then i can trade the rest for needs at that time.

Thats what im feeling as well.. especially since forwards develop the quickest thus my farm forwards and my 4/1st's this draft will be ample to cover Svech's departure ... I just took over this last place team las year so it's been a trying clean up job...lol

I agree with this. This deal is okay, because Jarry has been in the NHL and productive.

Stockpiling prospect goalies is like stockpiling some post-hype collectible now that it's post-hype.

Campbell, coreau, brossoitt for me and possibly Soderstrom. Gillies needs to put it together soon or he'll be on the chopping block too.

If it's a dynasty (keep all), then there is no sense dropping any goalies. My point is more that I wouldn't just keep targetting prospect goalies in the hopes that you'll end up with 2 starters and others to trade. Most goalie prospects don't work out. On your squad, I wouldn't bet much on Campbell, Coreau or Broissoit ever being starters or very relevant. Soderstrrom is a coin flip at best. When you don't nail it on a F or D prospect, you can still end up with a somewhat productive 3rd liner or something. When you don't nail it on a G....you have nothing - an AHL'er or European league or whatever.

You've got a crap-tonne of subpar B level G prospects/back ups that have no starting upside. It's more like a collection of 1989 O-Pee-Chee baseball cards... very little real value, but a lot of volume (roster commitment) You're other farm (non-goalie) prospects are decent. I'm not sure what's going on with your goalie valuations, but Jarry is the closest thing you have to a blue-chip prospect. You need to re-evaluate this plan and re-evaluate how you're evaluating goalies.

No worries , my goalie evaluation has never been my strong suit... ok no more with the goalies unless hes a proven starter

that's not necessarily the fix - mind you - you could really really use ONE! If you replaces Brossoitt, Coreau, Campbell & Soderstrom with Oettinger, Hart, Parsons, Demko, Samsonov, Sorokin, - you would be getting completely different responses on your strategy.

It's not the strategy itself that's flawed, it's the talent you're accumulating under that strategy.
