    Default Eichel trade

It is points only and dynasty league (12 teams - 27 roster and 20 minors)

    Eichel
    2018 11th overall pick
    2018 14th overall pick

    vs

    Hischier
    Ekman-Larsson
2018 2nd overall pick (so probably Svechnikov)
2019 1st round pick (could be anywhere between 1st and 12th)

Is that a step forward for my team? Could be a homerun if Svechnikov and Hischier deliver their upside on top of Ekman-Larsson and another top 12 pick. But if Hischier and Svechnikov become 60 pts players, this is the kind of players I could find otherwise and I will have lost Eichel without major upgrade since I think he will be a 90 pts player sooner then later. One of the 11th and 14th overall should at least become a really good player also.

Would you do it or stay with Eichel and 11th and 14th overall?

I think you're giving up too much. You should get that package with Eichel alone, there's no need for you to add those picks as well. But even then, I'm not so sure about that in a shallow league. Svechnikov could be close to Eichel but you're the one taking all the risk there. Hischier and OEL aren't really elite players in shallow leagues.

IMHO, I always like the ?Known? as compared to the ?Potential? unless the ?Potential? happens to be that Generational or Generation talent, such as:Crosby, McDavid etc.

I would take (keep) Eichel here, the Sure thing compared to Hirschier/ Svenchnikov, the Hope they become.

There are enough Daigle?s, Yak?s, Patrik Stephan?s that never pan out. Not that I?m comparing Hirschier/Svenchnikov to them but you get the idea of what I?m trying to say.

I'd either not make that deal or not add to Eichel. You league is deep with 27 man rosters & 20 man minors, so getting 3 good players for 1 very good player can work. However, you need to have Hischier & the 2 pick hit to the point of being lineup mainstays, even if they aren't quite Eichel.

Giving up the extra 2 picks makes it too rich for me to consider, especially considering the unknown future pick.

I don't like it at all, I'd keep Eichel.

Thanks guys. Your opinion helped me a lot to assess the value.

The other pooler did not want to include the 2018 14th overall vs the 2019 1st round pick in the deal. You all think this deal was too much of a gamble for me as it was, so it is even less attractive without this potential 2019 lottery pick into it.

    I'll stay with Eichel.
