Thanks for the info. I used to love going to the Festival of Friends at Gage Park and Sound of Music in Burlington. Seen a bunch of really good and bigger name bands play these shows for free over the years. Haven't been going recently since Sound of Music charges admission and Festival of Friends moved to Ancaster. Glad it's back at Gage Park but the lineups have been crap since returning.

SoM is free still. They do a paid concert the weekend before to help fund SoM and they just call it SoM. Matthew Good is part of the free festival.

For now have tickets to the Arkells Rally in Hamilton (June), as well as the Arctic Monkeys in Toronto (August). Have a couple shows on the radar that I may see depending on what I have going on those weekends:

Say DMB at the Amphitheater in Toronto a couple years ago and really enjoyed the show. Hopefully the weather cooperates for you.

Some great concert suggestions in this thread, great idea! I might look into some of these concerts.

I'm super excited to see Avenged Sevenfold with Three Days Grace in August in Toronto. Avenged Sevenfold is probably my favourite band of all time and their music helped me get through some pretty tough times in the past, and it has always been on my bucket list to see them live.

Arkells was another one I was interested in going to...big fan. Hamilton isn't exactly the most accessible for me though, so we'll see.

Yeah, unfortunate that the Arkells only have the one show this summer.

You reminded me that I was looking into the London On - Rock the Park show/festival with Rise Against, Three Days Grace, Theory of a Deadman and a couple others. Used to love 3DG however haven't been as big into them since Adam Gontier left.

Arkells concert tmo. Weather for it has improved over the last few days. Went from 80% thunderstorm till 7pm-ish to 40% around 5pm.

I'd love to see KC & The Sunshine Band if they are still jamming anywhere on the East Coast.

I saw them at the Valley Forge Casino. The venue is not good, but was a very good show.

Have plans to do a number of free or cheap festivals, including some local bands at the county bandshell/stage.

Should have some solid plans lined up for a couple paid shows by next week by bands I want to see before they stop touring.
