I'm not too keen on giving up Jost as I'm in the beginning stages of a hard rebuild right now. But I'm also in somewhat of a unique position where I acquired a 2019 first rounder that has a high probability of turning into #1 overall next year. Basically for that to happen I just need to finish ahead of one other team in the league (looking the rosters over it's extremely likely that myself and this other team will finish last in the league). Not a sure fire thing, but if I can manage to beat this team at least in our head to head games there's a great chance I'm drafting Jack Hughes next year.
That being said, what do people think of this deal? He also has Trocheck, Schenn, Rakell, J.T. Miller, Ekblad, Ristolainen, Petry as some interesting pieces that I might be able to toss a counter proposal out for to see how much he wants Jost. Not sure if a package of Jost+ could reasonably land me any of those guys. Thanks for your time!

The 2018 pick is #12 overall, I might be able to move up the '20 pick if I ask. And good point Trochek is probably wishful thinking. I doubt I have the trade pieces to make a deal like that. I'd rather a '19 2nd - but I like the deal. I don't see a lot of upside difference between Names & Jost - plus you gain periphs with Names. Getting a top 12 pick on top should give you another high end player in your stable. Just pay attention to fantasy prospect risers listed & discussed on here post NHL draft. It'll help you land a tolvanen/Thomas at #12 whereas they were drafted in the late 1st in real life

Seems lopsided in your favor as is. I can't believe someone would actually include some of the other names you've mentioned for Jost (trochek, schenn, risto or even the others)
