Here are the Cole notes on my situation. Got my own team about 3 years ago. Made some really bad deals and traded draft picks and decent young guys for basically junk. Finally decided I need to blow it up and start over. Managed to get the 1st or 2nd overall pick in this year's draft. Most likely getting the 1st overall next year. Looking to build off the waiver as I have no other draft picks besides that top 1-2 pick. Looking at Matthew Phillips. I can afford to have him sit on my main squad, just curious when you guys think we will see him in Calgary. Probably a year or two? I had him before but didn't want guys that weren't playing sitting on my main team. Then I woke up and picked Kaprizov off the waiver because maybe it's not so bad for a rebuilding team to have one or two skilled prospects that while may not play for a couple of years, could turn into very good players. Thoughts?

I would presume there would be better available than Phillips if Kaprizov was available.

Why Phillips??? There must be better options in a 12-team league...

I would take a spin over at Dobber's top 200 forward prospects.. as Tux said, if KK is available, there's gotta be a few others better than Phillips (he's someone you can grab in 2-3 years from now right before he gets an AHL call up)

you could never trade him, no one will know him. Take pedigree over long shots unless you've got 30+ prospect slots

One name that comes to mind that is available is Troy Terry. If he's available by the time I pick, I'll probably grab him first. There are a bunch available but I can't list all of them right now. Thanks for the tips. I'll keep looking to see who is available.
