    Default Tyson Jost - LW/C?

watching the Avs / Preds game last night and watched Jost on PP1 on LW. he was teh C on his regular 5on5 shift though. is that enough to constitute a C/LW designation?

i am in need of a LW, and certainly one that has PP1 potential...

No... it is not likely enough to get him LW eligibility... Malkin has been playing wing on the powerplay for years... is he RW eligible in your league?

It would be similar to all the forwards that play D on the powerplay...none of them are going to get D eligibility. I think platforms only consider it if they are on a different position regularly for even-strength shifts.

Pretty sure it has everything to do with even strength. Although with these host sites you never know.

Yahoo seems to have more dual eligible players than many other sites. Well definitely more than CBS for instance. Not sure how it compares with ESPN or other. While I am not sure exactly how it works, I could see him having both in Yahoo. Younger players seem to be given more eligible positions than vets. Perhaps that just has to do with their teams using them in different scenarios attempting to figure out where the player will stick long term. Malkin used to have RW eligibility on Yahoo. Going back a few years at least. But more recently he has just had C eligibility. I think players only need to play a few games (maybe 5 at most) at a certain position for Yahoo to give them eligibility. Like Blake WHeeler got C eligibility halfway through the season. But I do think those games need to be in 5 on 5 situations. Still, there is a decent chance if Jost might even only get 5 games at LW for the season.

I don't think Jost will get dual because he's a C without question. One of the reasons Duchene was traded was to solidify MacK as the top line C and to eventually have Jost as a nice 1-2 punch up the middle.

This year he was eligible at both position on yahoo. Dont know if it will stay like this next year but there's a chance he settle at C on the second line and that they will remove is LW

for all we know Yahoo will make him C/LW/D cause he skated backwards on one of his shifts.
