K.Connor vs Stone, Landy or JVR?

Whittling down my keepers and in discussions with other GM?s.

Kyle Connor is available.

Anyone like him as one of my LW keepers or moreso how does he rank in your opinion against guys like Stone, Landy or JVR on my team in sig.

I assume there is no cap aspect? This is tough. Because we don't know where jvr will go, I think you hang onto him. Landy I probably keep too because of that line. I think id prolly stand Pat with stone as well, but Connor is right there too. I just worry that all the others are proven whereas we only have a small sample on Connor. Can you trade one of them for Connor and a pick? That would probably change my interest

I am a huge fan of Kyle Connor, but at this stage I can't advocate keeping him over Stone. He probably matches Landeskog, so flip a coin there. The guy I would trade is JVR. Cash-in while he has good value, because I think it will decline from here, whereas Connor's is on the rise, and arguably, so is Landeskog's.

PPP swings me to Stone as well. Connor's in a dog fight for time with that top 6. Whereas Stone is top of the heap in Ott. JVR even if he stays in Tor is part of a 1a 1b PP deployment and Landy's been so hot/cold over the last few seasons, I have a hard time trusting 60+pts is for real.

When you say Connor is available, are you talking WW available or on the trade block available? I don't fully like the idea of trading Stone for him - I'd want/need a good piece in return with Connor - sophomore slump is a real thing... that makes me the most wary

Stone and Landy over connor simply because of opportunity for now. Connor might get it as well but he's no where near the slam dunk Landy and Stone are with their teams.

JVR is the one that id consider here.. No doubt it's a risk and could go either way depending on the situation he lands in. Gun to my head Id rather Connor right now.

With PPP, PIM and +/- I think I would lean towards Stone and Landeskog. If your league had hits it would easily go to one of those 2. Connor looks like he has the making of a terrific player. I am just not sure yet if he will have any peripheral category value. In leagues with only G/A and SOG I could see going with Connor. But in leagues with even a few peripheral cats, I would say Landeskog or Stone until Connor proves himself capable of surpassing them.

Gents!!! Thank you for your input. Seems unanimous. I have the best guys and a cherry in JVR to move on for upgrades. I can probably wait it out for JVR.

I really really like Kyle Connor. He looks very promising. But your team is loaded and it would be hard to justify keeping him over the other options you mentioned. I'd target a bottom feeder team looking to rebuild and offer Connor for draft picks. You can likely get a great return for him coming off the rookie season he just had.

edit: I own him in our PQMC league but can't fit him in as a keeper. Want him for a draft pick? Hahaha
