I think we need a bit more info about your league. How many teams? How many goalies do you start? How many keepers? Are starting goalies hard to acquire? Etc. The more info the better and you'll get superior answers.

You’re comparing an apple and a grapefruit with no context. Need more info like MZac suggests.
is this a limited keeper? Appreciate the concise post... but a lot more context is needed (beating the dead horse)

16 teams, 5 keepers (not position limited), top 10-15 goalies not available
In team we have room for 3 C, 3 RW, 3 LW, 4 D, 2G, 7 UTIL (can be G in this group)
Thanks!
It's a close one, mostly due to just under 40% of your categories being goalie-related and you being able to retain two of the top 10 netminders. If it was me, I'd keep Malkin since he's a difference maker when healthy and chips in so well in your categories. But I can see a case for keeping Gibson since the last time Malkin played even 70+ games 2 seasons in a row was basically 10 years ago.

In keep 5 starting two goalies with only the top 10-15 goalies not available I am only keeping 1 goalie at mostl, almost always (maybe if I had vas and Murray and weak forwards for example, I'd consider keeping 2 but more likely trade one).
Malkin is my choice here over Gibson. I'd like to move him for an upper end winger at some point as you don't want too many center keepers in this league, just because it's the easiest position to fill. Who is your 5th keeper?

Still not enough details here. We need to know who else is on your roster and potentially are being kept. Do you have another goalie?
Personally, I'd take the apple over the grapefruit, but I'm not sure which is which.

Keep Malkin. Goalies suck, too unpredictable.
