How to Get Yahoo to Allow Off-Season Trades? REP Given for help!

Our keeper league just wrapped up and I (as commissioner) want to allow trades for next season starting right away (keepers, picks, etc.). I changed the trade deadline date to NEVER, but when I click on "Create a Trade", it says "The game is over. You cannot do this action." Anyone got a fix for this issue? Thanks!

Just ran into this earlier today when trying to make an offseason trade to improve my keepers. It's annoying, keeper leagues should allow movement during the downtime. I wonder if it's just a Yahoo thing or if other tools like Fantrax allow for off season activity.

Yahoo does not stay open for the offseason so you can't do this.

If you go to their Suggestions page though I guarantee you will find a thread with a lot of people asking for it. Go on there and post your complaint. They actually listen sometimes.

So I'll just have to keep track of all agreed to trades during the off season, then enter them manually in September?

If I switch to FREE Fantrax, do they stay open all summer, and allow keepers and trades?

Correct. It's annoying.....but that's what I do.

Yes I believe they stay open.

Fantrax is pretty solid. Only thing I will advise....the app blows. Yahoo app is fantastic.

Yeah, I've heard that from others as well. Never used the app myself, not a big fan of fantasy hockey from my phone.

This is what we do in the league in my sig. The commish transfers the league on Fantrax for the summer and we can make trades. We also make our prospect draft through the message board.

When Yahoo is open in september the commish reopens the league.

Thanks! I might do that too. Some of the GMs really like the app so much more on Yahoo. Plus to be honest, until Fantrax has some sort of "Start Active Players" button like Yahoo does, it'll always be more work than necessary.

It's true. The app is great. I am in my first Fantrax league and it's a pain to have to go to the website. Sure it's a solid mobile site....but it's still not an app. And I now find myself checking my Yahoo teams way more than my Fantrax team.
