Another topic for discussion is the slashing penalty that is called when a players stick is broken but not called when it isn't broken. It's either a slash or it isn't. Polak gets a penalty for something that happens a hundred times a game, but is only called when a faulty stick happens to break.

And the penalty prior to that for slashing Rick Nash, when Nash should have gotten the penalty for playing with a broken stick. There was no slash, his stick just finally fell apart. there were 3 penalties that were solid jokes last night... and since when was replay used to determine who was supposed to be in the penalty box?

I would think they roll them evenly or push the hotter line out more often. It's food for thought... getting Kaps & Johnsson more ice time.

hopefully Kadri will be a difference maker in a good way ... also hoping Bergeron sits this one out

Kadri saw a fair amount of ice time with Johnsson last night - he's just all over the ice every shift. I'm loving this kid. Huge difference having Kadri back last night. his physicality really put Bos on notice... the biggest difference though was Tor's speed. Everyone was flying.

Really? Come on Refs. Besides Saturdays game, the games have been pretty evenly called. But from game-to-game this series has been a joke when it comes to penalties. What's a penalty in Boston seems to not be a penalty in Toronto.

Really? Come on Refs. Besides Saturdays game, the games have been pretty evenly called. But from game-to-game this series has been a joke when it comes to penalties. What's a penalty in Boston seems to not be a penalty in Toronto.

Dermotts "Holding" penalty too. On Dermotts call interference, or roughing, even slew footing would make more sense (not make sense, but make more sense) than holding. I think it was clean, you see a play like that half a dozen times a game.

But in the game, I only think game 5 was poorly officiated. The other games were pretty even from start to finish. But Games 3 and 4 were officiated VERY differently than Games 1, 2 and 5.

A reporter asked Babcock what he thought of the officiating and Babcock had a funny response, "Oh thats a good question, ask me in the summer."
