Still baffles my mind that Trotz went with Grubauer in games 1 & 2. Holtby in Game 3 - saved 33 of 35 shots for a .943 save%. Holtby in Game 4 - saved 23 of 24 shots for a .958 save%. Looking like the Vezina winnner from just a few years ago. Heating up at the perfect time.

I guess he knew what he was doing because Holtby probably just played his 2 best games of the season. Maybe he was getting a little bit too complacent, but, it is just 2 games.

I have no problem with starting Graubs he earned it however as a Caps fan I feel more comfortable with Holts in net for sure.

Chances are getting benched was a good thing for him and those are the results. He could be embarrassed by riding the pine and has something to prove now.

it wouldn't be the playoffs if they didn't meet in the 2nd round. Caps shouldn't complain about that this year, if the East 4 are TB-Bos-Wsh-Pitt - they would have Bos in 2nd round with the previous 1-8 seed system
