Default Ottawa's "Butterfly Boy" passes away

I remember watching the TSN special they had on this young man, Jonathan Pitre, back in 2015 and it was quite a touching story at the time. As a grown man, it was hard to watch this and not have water in your eyes. Sad to hear of his passing this morning.

For those that aren't familiar with Jonathan or his story, you can see the TSN special they had on him here:

As a parent, I cannot even begin to imagine what his parents are going through today. They literally cared for this boy day and night and now their lives are changed. I am sure they would say it's for the worse today.

    RIP Jonathan.

    RIP Jonathan

Prayers are with his family at this time... I cannot imagine how hard it would be to lose a kid.

Kid had a great attitude. The way the Sens organization and players dealt/treated him was first class.

I followed his story closely and I wasn't sure whether his chances were good. I just hoped for the best and didn't want to look into it; so I was ignorant and thought he probably would have a decent chance of surviving. I am deeply saddened to hear he has passed away. He was such a great kid and fought hard until the end.

Very sad to hear. The video was very hard to watch and feel bad for him. Condolences to the family.
