Likely not until Vaxio is done and they are likely gonna be playing into April. We are not going to see him in the NHL this season.
Does anyone know if he will be signing with the Canucks anytime soon ?

I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.
Vaxjo is already in the Semi-Finals in the SHL playoffs. Even if they lose 4 games in a row (very unlikely since they're the #1 team in the league), the earliest they would be eliminated is April 8th. More likely they go all the way to the Final and his season extends to late April (between the 24th and the 28th).
Alright thanks for the info !
Will be good having the Sedins around next year to take this kid under their wings!! Do they make triple bunk beds??

After leading the regular season in points, Pettersson now leads scoring in the playoffs too with 14 points in 11 games. He looks 100% ready for NHL action next year.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.
I worry about his shoulders. I worry about every teenager's shoulders in the NHL. He is not a unique snowflake*. The human body is not developed enough for most kids to take the abuse. With him being a slight (in weight) guy I worry even more.
That is the first thing that popped into my head when you said he looks 100% NHL ready. I hope he proves my fears wrong.

HAHAHA!! I like that.
I think that there is a trend of 18/19-year-olds succumbing to shoulder injuries when they start playing against men. I quickly did a search for should injuries to young NHLers. This is by no means scientific but these five examples popped up quickly. I would like to spend more time researching this as I have had the opinion that 18 year old kids in the NHL are at greater risk for shulder injuries.

That said, Elais Pettersson is by most accounts a tall and lanky kids that needs to put on weight to thrive at the NHL level.
That is all.

Bring them back as development coaches and get those bunk beds! lol love it, Z.
Pettersson seems great, but the NHL is not like any other league. There are plenty of examples of success and failure in transition. He could be a star in VAN, or he could live in a VAN (down by the river... Couldn't resist lol).

I think he's going to be a stud. I'm as high on him as I was with Keller and Boeser last summer. (Hoping my luck continues).
Another multi-point game for Pettersson today in the SHL finals 2G, 1A. Now up to 17 points in 12 playoff games. Incredible performance.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.
