Trust Mike Smith?
Anybody starting Smith @ San Jose? Flames have some injuries and Smith hasnt been great since returning from injury. I might have to start him, as im only up 3-2 in the wins category, down 1-0 in shutouts and not sure my gaa/sv % lead will hold up. Ive got Talbot, Smith, Ullmark, Pickard. He has Rinne, Varly, Dubnyk, Jarry. this week is the finals. it was 6-6 before last nights games, now im up 8-4.

No way I'd trust Smith at this point. Monahan shut down for the year is nail in the coffin and there is bound to be a letdown. Smith carried me all year but when he struggles, he reaaaally struggles. Gotta be a better option out there

yikes. Not sure how BUF responds in back to backs after a loss, but I don't like their chances against NYR. I guess I like them slightly more than CAL's though. Gun to head I'd roll the dice on Ullmark but neither are great options. GL

Thanks. Yeah, if Sabres couldn't beat an injured Montreal squad, I don't like their chances against rangers on 2nd of a back to back. At least Flames should be desperate with whatever slim playoff chances they have.

I was coming to say Id start him in your scenario but they just shutdown Monahan too- its looking even uglier now. That being said LWL has Lehner projected for Buffalo. Talbot confirmed for EDM but thats not much better. Ugh- yuck- you should roll the dice on a start though. I guess Im still going Smitty- hes capable of winning games on his own when hes "on".

Thanks fighting emu. My plan along was to start Talbot and probably Smith. Since rittich played the whole game it didn't matter that I started smith. If saros and stalock start today, I'll probably bench talbot as I'm leading most goalie cats.
