    Default Travis Konecny???

Where does the Dobber community peg this guy? He's only 21, but seems to be greatly benefiting from his line placement with Giroux. What's his upside and 3yP. 55? 65? 75-80? I'm considering keeping him over Logan Couture in a keeper pool, points only, no positional requirements for forwards. THanks!

Saw this on reddit today and thought it was interesting https://www.reddit.com/r/hockey/comm..._promotion_to/

Travis Konecny before promotion to Giroux/Couturier line: 36GP-4G-10P. After: 37GP-18 G-34P.
Does this kid have enough to generate his own offense or is he just a product of his environment?

To your questions, I'd keep Logan Couture over Konecny.

that stat line and teh comparison to last year, tells me hes not one to drive his own offense. his Sh% is waaay up, G has doubled and hes not put alot more shots to teh net, tells me he's getting better chances setup by Giroux in better areas to score...

Good points made above but you have to be careful. It wasn't that long ago many posters here were saying Giroux needed Voracek to get points or Giroux needed Jagr to get points. Giroux seems to be getting a lot points this year without either of those two guys. With few exceptions, even good players need other good players to produce.

Huge Flyers fan... and love what he is doing on the top line... but you have to keep the proven produced in Couture over him.

This discussion might play out differently in a year from now, but I'm definitely sticking with Couture in the short term.

Keep Couture but I can tell you Konecny did it all on his own in Junior and did it really well. The kid is a warrior and has a no quit motor.. Like Brayden Point.. I don't think it will be long before he is generating more of his own chances, just needs some time to develop. In 3 years, this isn't even a question. I see him as a 25-35 type of player. He is a good hokcey player and just probably has a longer development arc. Hell, it took Couturier a while too.

Konecny reminds me a lot of a young Danny Briere. I think his points will come soon and see his breakout in 2019-20. So, enjoy Couture until then, but from that point on it's all Konecny.

I think one thing that is going unnoticed so far is that the Flyers top line has Couturier who most definitely can set plays up. I think Giroux to wing was basically brilliant by Hakstol, and I'd expect that the top 6 remains productive, and that Konecny continues to grow. I'd peg couture as the better point producer next year, then it becomes too close to call, barring major developments of growth or injury, etc.

On a similar note- How about Konecny or Simmonds as a keeper? League does not counts hits. (G, A, PPP, +/-, PIM).

Not the league in your sig, so would need to know more about the roster & positional requirements/starters to help with that. It's close.

Not Reinhart, the other 2 are close.

Definitely agree with this. I'm a bit of a fan of Konecny's.

I agree with the fact that you have to go with the prooven player. I see Konecny around 40 points next year so id go with couture but in Konecny 4th year id go with him.
