I'd be fine moving Pavelski for a pick, and keeping Aho or Ehlers.

Alright, so I have to select 7 keepers into next year. I have trade my top picks to improve my depth to get me into the playoffs, which I am in the final of....yahoo.. but I am thinking about next year already. last year in our 5 year keeper.
1) Kane
2) Wheeler
3) Panarin
4) Pavelski
5) Aho
6) Rakell
7) Ehlers
8) Arvidison
9) Doughy
10) Gibson
11) Talbot
So my question is, should a trade pavelski for a pick and keep Aho? My league doesn't consider aho, rakell or ehlers worthy of a pick. my gut is aho over rakell or ehlers. Should I move pavelski and keep aho, or keep pavelski and try moving doughty, or just keep pavelski and doughty and hope to draft well after round 3.
Thank you!!!!!!

Yeah, I would be looking to move Pavelski for a pick as well.
If I'm reading this right there is only 1 year left in your league and then you restart or it collapses?
If that's the case then I prefer Pavelski over rakell, Aho, and Ehlers for next year only given your cats. Take away Pavelskis slow start (remember when people were panicking with him and burns in October/November?) and you still likely have the most productive player next season. If this was longer term I'd want one of the kids but given its not his age and slow start don't scare me

Thanks guys, yes. League resets after the close of the season in 2019.
Ya, I think Pavelski could really rebound next year, hence why this is hard decision. My only concern is Pavelski will be 34 going into next season, that being said didn't stop Joe Thornton putting up huge numbers.

I mean the difference shouldn't be gigantic between him and the other 3 (all of which you could make a case for) so depending on the pick you could get and what type of player that gets you next season, it may still be worth it to sell Pavelski and keep one of the other 3.
It's a point differential thing that you'd have to work out based on the pick (and general type of player you'd expect to get in that round) vs the expected difference between Pavelski and the other 3. I still lean towards keeping Pavelski in this league format but it's probably close.

In what amounts to a 1 year league for you next year I'm going with Pavelski. Looking beyond next year moving him for either one of Aho or Ehlers is a solid move, but short term, I'm sticking with Joe to turn around and have another solid year. In your format, even if point production is similar, I think Pavelski is the better own across the other scoring stats.
