No, actually not a leafs fan at all.

Just a longtime fantasy player and winner of my league last season.

I would think that people could just post their opinions without having to explain but i guess not.

    So here you go,
    1. He’s a 1st overall pick
    2. He’s been putting up elite numbers while playing next to younger and less talented players than most of the other players on that list.
    3. His team is on the rise (obvi)
    4. Marner, Nylander and Reilly will all be a year further in their development so we can expect more from his teammates, which in turn should help him.
    4. John Tavares will be on the same PP unit as him. Which many are predicting to be top 3 in the nhl this season
    5. He’s a year further into his development.

1.3 points per game for a superstar/generational type player in their prime years is not that far fetched.
So 109p in 82gp isn’t so bold or homerish.
The reason for goving him more points that’s McDavid is just the fact of the team/ players around him and the PP units. Edmonton’s PP was atrocious last season.
6 Team no limit Keeper. Cap league $100m
    Points only G/A=1, Hattrick = +3, Wins = 2, SO = +3, OTL/SOL = +1
12 Forwards, 6 Defense, 2 Goalies, 6 Reserve (any position)

    Forwards
    Crosby $8.7
    Stone $9.5
    Svechnikov $7.7
    Debrincat $6.4
    Hall $6
    Meier $6
    Guentzel $6
    Ehlers $6
    Hertl $5.6
    Konecny $5.5
    Palat $5.3
    JT Miller $5.2
    Garland $4.9
    Kakko $.9
    Laff $.9

    Defense
    Josi $9
    Burns $8
    Letang $7.2
    Nurse $5.6
    Werenski $5
    Sergachev $4.8
    Fox $.9

    Goalies
    Shesterkin $5.6
    Ullmark $5
    Hart $3.9
    Blackwood $2.8

Ok, I appreciate your argument in defence of your AM projection but I think it is way off. I dont need to argue that McDavid will absolutely outpoint AM next year and every year that he is healthy moving forward. I am sure 99.9% of people in here will agree with me (aside from the .1% of Matthews owners that have unrealistic expectations). Oh and congrats on winning your league last year. I have won back to back, and 4 of the last 6 years (and the years I didnt win I finished 2nd and 4th). Cheers.

That’s fair. And you’re most likely correct. I did have McDavid 1 point behind. However, just remember that “best player in the world” types don’t win scoring titles every year. Crosby only did it twice.

You are right in that sense. I do think Matthews is a stud and will be near the top of the Art Ross race for years to come. Hey, what do you think of Jack Hughes? You probably know this but he?s the projected first overall pick in next year?s draft. People are comparing him to P Kane and some are saying he?s maybe just a bit under McDavid potential.

Tbh don’t know much about him but I will be targeting the first round pick of the GM in my league whom I believe will finish last.
