Wow. 6 of his top 10 are defensemen.
Cam is one of the best in the draft rankings biz, so he definitely deserves his own thread here.
Check out his latest Top 100 rankings which were released today >> https://dobberprospects.com/cam-robi...00-march-2018/
Includes quick scouting reports for the top 31 prospects. Doesn't get much better than this.

Yeah, it's not a great draft for forwards. I think Veleno or Kotkaniemi could sneak into the top 10 if someone is desperate for a center. Or maybe Farabee if someone likes him enough.
But yeah, Svechnikov, Zadina and Wahlstrom might be the only top line forwards in this draft. And it's difficult to draft a 2nd line forward in the top 10 if there are potential top pair defensemen still available.
Thoughts on Wahlstrom's NHL ETA?

I've been keeping a close watch on this crop for the past 8 months or so and I feel like about the top 7 ish stays pretty constant. We're always looking more or less at something like:
Dahlin
Svechnikov
Zadina
Boqvist
Hughes
Tkachuk
Wahlstrom
With sightings of Bouchard, Smith, Veleno, Dobson, and even Merkley making appearances once in a while.
I feel like this is a very top heavy draft. As in, the top 9 (or so) are going to be studs, then after that we see a few 'possible studs'. But then after that, we see a formidable drop off. Is this what other people are seeing, or is it just me?

This may be the first draft since 2002 where a center doesn't get picked in the top 10.
Also, I foresee a lot of this-d vs that-d threads coming in the summer So many of them are so close (except for Dahlin).
Svechnikov vs Zadina might be an interesting question but I think Svechnikov has the upper hand here.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.
That question is something Cam tackled about one month ago here: Prospect Mailbag: Svechnikov vs Zadina, Top Prospects Outside the NHL & More
Cam was talking about goalies (among other draft eligible prospects) in a podcast lately, I recommend checking that out: https://mapleleafsnation.com/2018/03...draft-targets/ (there are timestamps for each prospect, goalies are at the very end of it).
