Default Need to select my 3 1-year keepers

Looking for some advice on who to keep in a 10 team H2H standard Yahoo league (no holds).

Managers all have their franchise player (mine is Arenado) that they carry along every year and then they get to keep 3 other guys for the next season only.

My top players to choose my 3 from are:
    - Dozier (not a good first half but picked it up mid season)
    - Justin Upton (consistently good all year)
    - McCutchen (streaky)
    - Duvall (only 2 full years + 55 games in the league and has hit 72 HRs)
    - Chris Taylor (great multicat player)
    - Bumgarner (down year but still elite?)
    - Strasburgh (best pitcher from my list)
    - Kimbrel (best ranked fantasy player from my list)
    - Alex Wood (can he repeat?)

I?m thinking all-in pitching as I would go with Strasburgh for sure, flip a coin on Bumgarner vs Wood and secretly hope it falls on Bum and complete the 3 with Kimbrel even if I hate to keep a closer.

    What do you guys think?

I would go with Stras, Madbum, and Upton.

How many OF do you start?? And any MI or CI spots?

I am leaning towards 3 pitchers to be honest....but that could change if there are more OF or those MI spots.

Your hitters aren't great so I'd go with Strasburg, Bumgarner and Kimbrel.

You have the right idea, load up on pitching and draft your bats early. I'd also keep Strasburg, Bumgarner and Kimbrel.

    - Justin Upton (consistently good all year) Consistent bat and I don't like the idea of keeping a RP... way to volatile!
    - McCutchen (streaky)
    - Duvall (only 2 full years + 55 games in the league and has hit 72 HRs)
    - Chris Taylor (great multicat player)
    - Bumgarner (down year but still elite?) Still elite yes!
    - Strasburgh (best pitcher from my list) Got to keep him... contract year? And on a top team!

    - Kimbrel (best ranked fantasy player from my list)
    - Alex Wood (can he repeat?)

Just realized that Kimbrel probably won’t be ready for opening day since his baby daughter had a second heart surgery and he’s of course by her side... hope all is good there on his end.

Flipping Kimbrel for Upton could be good but I’m afraid Upton may slow down. I also have David Price that I can consider but speaking of slowing down...

I’ll give it a bit more time to ponder since I have to set the keepers by midnight toning but I appreciate the solid feedback provided by you guys! I’ll rep you all in the next few days; Thanks!

So did you keep the 3 pitchers or go another route?? For what it's worth, I would have went: Bum Kimb and Stras

I waited until the last minute and the commish updated the league page with everyone’s keepers (except mine) which gave me some intel. I saw that no closers were kept and that few 2nd basemen would be available to draft so I kept Dozier along with my 2 star pitchers (Stras and Bum).

Many mock drafts have Dozier going late-20’s to mid-30’s where closers tend to go in the early 50’s at the earliest. I will target Kimbrel with my first few picks but I just feared I would be stuck with a plug-in as a 2B if I didn’t keep Dozier after what I had seen...

I’m a bit bummed as I would have wanted to go with my initial strategy after getting everyone’s feedback but I made a last minute change that can hopefully pay off.

    Thanks again for the advice!
