back in those days we had a stretch of close to ten years where nobody was allowed to pick gretzky in our yearly straight draft pool because it just wasnt close to being fair if you had 1st ov pick since he was putting up 200 point seasons .

grezt had same amount of points as the winner in 79-80 but the winner won because he had more goals than assists which is the tiebreaker

I think it was common for leagues to split his goals and assists into 2 separate draftable people.

I remember reading that there were many drafts where you could draft "Gretzky's assists" and "Gretzky's goals" for points. Not both ... lol. Thats insane.

Stevie Y was my favorite player growing up! I can't believe Lindros got an MVP in there and he didn't. And yes Jagar is very underrated IMO.
