Me neither. I thought he would wait until the first big name gets hurt and he would go there.

Looks like he at least considered coming back for one more season...

DeMarco Murray visited or spoke with the Lions before retiring, @AdamSchefter reports.

Doesn't sound like things will end all pretty in Pittsburgh with Bell...

Unless they win the Superbowl and then he moves on.

I think even if they win the superbowl, he's gone. It's like Cousins. The player wants fully guaranteed contracts, team doesn't want to give it.

A team out there will pay Bell a lot of his contract being guaranteed I think. Cousins and a couple of other signings this yr have switched the league into more of a guaranteed contract atmosphere. Makes sense.

Oh yes. I agree that he is gone.. I meant the only way there is a happy ending to Bell's career as a Steeler is if they win the Superbowl this year.

It's sad though, he was such a driving force of that team, and I just wonder what happens with Brown's production, and how much of a stash is James Connor for 2019 gonna be?

Cooks and Rams agree to 5 year extension... how much does this increase his draft stock.

Probably a fair amount. Goff is one of the better QBs in the league and only getting better.

I'm pretty sure he was under contract already for this upcoming season. NE exercised his team option prior to trading him (April 29th, 2017 and exercised it for 2018 season).

    Wow!

    http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/2...aranteed-money

The Los Angeles Rams and Todd Gurley have reached an agreement on a four-year contract extension worth $60 million, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter, in a deal that resets the market for running backs.

The deal ties Gurley to the Rams for the next six seasons and includes $45 million guaranteed, the largest guarantee given to a running back, the source told Schefter. Gurley also will receive a $20 million signing bonus, according to the source.

It also is the largest per-year average for any running back, providing a new benchmarks for other running backs looking for new deals, such as Arizona's David Johnson and Dallas' Ezekiel Elliott.

I think Bell got pissed when Barkley got a fully guaranteed contract before touching an NFL field.

Yes, I think we are both correct... every time another RB gets a deal... Bell is going to be more and more pissed...
