Trade help, trying to get 1st overall

Hi,

My team is different than the one in my sig, we just started a new keeper league. After our draft we randomized who was to get first overall pick in this years 2018 Nhl draft. I am trying to acquire the first overall pick (Dahlen) and have decided to go for a rebuild, trading older players for younger ones that will hopefully be productive in a few years, as my draft didn't quite go as planned. So, I've decided to trade Dubnyk for Dumba and the 3rd (Zidina or Svechnikov). The guy that luckily got the first overall pick, also has E. Pettersson, if I traded away Subban + F. Forberg for the first (dahlen) + Pettersson, is this a vast over payment?

Its a 16 team, 16 player keeper league.

This is a huge overpayment... Even if you are in rebuild mode... a rebuild should never be longer than 3 years... and Subban and Forsberg should still be fantasy relevant in 3 years time.

I think Subban and small addition should be able to get you both those targets. Subban is proven to what Dahlin MAY ​become.

Absolutely an overpayment. Frankly don't go crazy young. Targeting Dahlen is great, but not all prospects pan out. Don't push all in on young. Keep some bullets ( like Forsberg ) in the holster. You can use them later.

Thanks for the input guys! Not going to do it, guy is being a bit unreasonable with his asking price. Man do I ever want Pettersson though, what do you guys think would be a reasonable price? I have Palmieri, Schwartz, Vrana, Colin Miller, Labanc, Silfvererg, Subban and nino available to trade. Plus Dub and Mrazek in goal.

I also might trade Dub + Forsberg + Silfverberg for Holtby + Fabbri + M. Stone, what do you think of this deal?
