Default Bit of a big trade proposal, need some thoughts...

Getting the best player in the deal is usually the winning factor but I am not sure about this.

My Seth Jones, Dadonov, Dylan Larkin and 2nd round pick for

    his
Burns, Pavelski, Zetterberg and a 4th line pick

Obviously trading a whole bunch of youth in this deal which I am very hesitant to do. Zetterberg is a throw in to the deal because in an earlier proposal, he was dropping him in the 3 for 2 proposal.

For 1st team in signature. 10 team league, goals and assists are 1 point each, bonus point for powerplay point.

Burns is nice, but I don't really need him on my team, but it is burns and he is elite.

    Any thoughts are appreciated.

If you're in a position to win, then you have to do this. If you are more than a season or two away, then I would keep what you have.

Well, I am 8 points back of 1st place right now. I just wasn't sure there are enough games left in the season this year that this move helps me enough to gain ground. It is a keeper league, 20 keepers, 25 man rosters. So Burns obviously moves into my keepers as well as Pavelski. Burns would definitely help next year but how long until Jones catches up?

Given this situation, this deal is a must take. You've got ashot, might as well go for it. This deal doesn't hurt you in the short run, and if you really want to, you probably get back quivalent assets next year for Burns/Pavelski, or really close to it.

    1. When does Jones reach Burns' current level of production? Probably never. When does he catch a declining Burns? I'm unsure, but it could be a few years. I think you could flip Burns early in the season next year for more than Jones.

    2. Pavelski seem to look really good with kane there as well.

Well done! Hopefully this moves you into first. This is not a bad deal at all heading into next year either.
