    Default Elias Pettersson

Didn't see a thread about him so I figured he deserved his own as he became the highest scoring U20 player in the history of SHL.

I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.

Exciting not just fof Nucks fans but for Pettersson owners. At this points it seems more likely than not that he's playing in the NHL next season. Calder candidate.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.

With a goal today, Pettersson wins the SHL scoring title with 56 points in 44 games.

I thought there wasn't supposed to be any really good talent in the 2017 draft outside of Hischier? Man... did they ever pump up the awfulness of that draft. And oh look! There's some serious studs emerging already!

Vancouver is definitely accumulating the talent. I have a gut feeling they'll draft Dahlin with the #1.

one more reason to keep the Yotes in Arz
one more reason for Canucks fans to cry draft lottery bias & discrimination.

Great video but I'm questioning the music here.. HaHa.. See, for everything that is great something will always be questioned.. I remember when N.Backstrom and Tavares had their skating questioned..

I can't believe how good Pettersson's shot is.. That is a beauty one timer.. He also has a really good wrist shot aswell.. Such a creative player too.. Canucks fans must be excited!!

Yeah, his shot is fantastic. There isn't really anything in his game that is lacking. He's 100% NHL ready and is my favorite Calder candidate right now.

With that shot I wonder if he will be more Seguin then Backstrom.

I'm a big fan of Pettersson but I think you have to also be careful. He's weighing in at 165 lbs and I know that smaller players are all the rage nowadays but it may require some adjustment in his first year of North American pro hockey (in Utica or Vancouver). Also, with Jim Benning in charge, you just never know what he'll do with his young prospects. Remember, Boeser was supposed to be limited to 60 games this year, which makes no sense and Boeser made them realise that pretty quickly.

Anyways, just throwing a bit of caution to the wind, but I definitely agree that he'll be a very exciting talent to watch.
ESPN keeper league (5 rounds draft; 3 FA pickups per year; points for G, A, W, SO)

Forwards: Ovechkin, McDavid, Huberdeau, Voracek, Boeser, Wennberg, Galchenyuk, Tkachuk, Keller, Arvidsson, Teravainen, Rantanen
D-men: Letang, Keith, Krug, Ellis, Ekblad, Hanifin
    Goalies: Murray, Hellebuyck

Bench: Hertl, Bjorkstrand, Gallagher, Domi, Tolvanen, Niskanen, Chychrun, Darling, Mrazek, Jarry

I'm going purely on talent here. I think size has been overblown as an issue. There are plenty of smaller top players in the NHL these days.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.
