Buch for Dahlen and a pick?

For league in sig, manager in my league asked about Buchnevich and I told him that I had interest in Dahlen and he said that he would likely only do a swap (1 for 1) of the two and not much else.

I really like both players, Buch is a bit underrated but I feel Dahlen could be killer once given the opportunity.

Thoughts?

I think we know that Buch is very good and still has untapped upside. Dahlen we think will be very good and have no idea what his upside is (he could just end up being a third line winger). I wouldn't make this trade. You have a proven prospect that is producing right now. Keep him.

Yeah that's where I am at as well in my thought. Buch hasn't been given a ton of ice time but has produced decently, I like the prospect of Dahlen and what he is doing in Sweden but not sure if he is worth losing Buch over since I don't know where the return will come for Dahlen.

Once Vignault is gone the reigns will come off Buch and the team. Dahlen could join the AHL this year so I’d wait and see because there is a chance he struggles a bit so you can get him for less than Buch.

if that pick is a 1st.. then I might do it.. by trading prospects playing for prospects that won't play for another 1-2 years, you're going to find you never get to truly compete.

I don't see Dahlen having any more upside than Buchnevich, so there's no reason to take that risk.

I wouldnt make that deal, Buch is producing terrific numbers if you look at points per minutes played. He could really take off once gets more PP time and full time top six mins.

If you approached the Dahlen owner, it doesn't surprise me that he would only do a straight up trade.

Like others, I would just hold. You have someone producing with nice upside. No point moving that for a wildcard.
