    Default Thoughts on Krug?

Whats up with this guy. Still 26 (a year away from the magic age of 27 for dmen) and has a hold on the top PP and plays with the top line most of the time and has had a torrid pace for the first and third quarter of this season..

His PPG is .78 this year compared to .63 last year and is 4 points away from beating his best set last year with 20 less games played currently.

Its natural to be concerned in a Keeper league when McAvoy is breathing down your neck as a potential top tier d man. My question is, is his pace sustainlable 2-3 years? Have we yet to see the best of him or will McAvoy slowly eat up his prime minutes on PP and on the top line?

With McAvoy on the team(injured now) Krug has almost become a PP specialist.. Right now that McAvoy is out, Krug is getting tons of prime ice time.. Krug is definitely talented but McAvoy is going to be the #1 go to guy on that d-corps.. Krug though is going to get PP time forsure and should het his points.. This year though will be a career year for Krug, I can't see him bettering his totals.. All depends on McAvoy I guess.. He will still be solid and in the 40-50 point range. But 50-60, not sure that's sustainable..

    Fully agree with this.

Thanks for the replies, I have similar feelings to the situation unfortunately.. Hopefully I can pawn him off during the off season to someone

I disagree. McAvoy is fantastic, and will eat into Krug's PP time, but he is not taking the PP #1 from Krug barring injury or some sort of hyperlong slump. Krug is one of the best PP quarterbacks in the league. He is a delight to watch. His early season play was hampered by his fractured jaw and the gawdy face protection he was sporting. He was not at his best. Once he regained his confidence and was fully healed his shot rate and production began increasing steadily. We are seeing him at his best now and it started well before McAvoy went down.

I think Krug tops 50 points a season for the next 3-4 years for sure. Maybe longer depending on the players around him. Just my two bits.
