He was tangled with a Ranger and was on his way down when he collided with Wheeler. They were both shaken up, but Wheeler's knee hit Scheifele's arm, and he didn't look right afterwards. He took a couple hits along the boards, and each time it looked like it aggravated that arm/shoulder/collarbone. That's when he left the game. Hope it's not serious.

Dreger states it's nothing serious.. Not sure how he knows that though without hiding in Scheifele's hotel room closet today..

That was one bizarre shift. Laine gets (accidentally) speared in the ribs, goes down and then off slowly. Seconds later the Wheeler/Scheifele collision. The Jets top 3 players all basically down and having trouble getting off the ice in the span of 20-30 seconds. I think my face was pale white for the rest of the period (and I'm a brown guy).

Wheeler and Laine looked OK as the second period started but it was obvious Scheifs was hurt.

Yeah, I get that he has a high pain threshold and wanted to stay in there, but you've got to think that his chances of recovery would be that much better if he hadn't forced it and taken those couple rough hits afterwards. We'll hear the damage today, so hopefully it's nothing too bad.

Day-to-Day so let's hope that means by Monday of next week.
