should be a decent return as he's a RFA
Waiting on details.
Another trade between division rivals... weird.

I am beginning to think the prices are going to need to come down or this is going to be a boring day.
The waiver claims have been more interesting.
Wow, that is a high cost to pay for Hartman. Yeesh.
NSH has him as a RFA until he's 27, likely why it was such a price to pay

I had some comments about Ejdsell in my SHL Report last week in case someone is not familiar with him: https://dobberprospects.com/shl-report-february-2018/
What does this do for the spot that seemed to be cleared up for Tolvanen when they traded away Aberg? Both are LW but maybe Hartman plays both wings, I think?

Not sure if this is behind a paywall, but essentially there was this quote from last week:
“We’ll have a contract in place to be able to execute and have him come over here,” Predators assistant GM Paul Fenton told The Athletic on Wednesday. “That’s the plan. Funnier things have happened. I don’t want to say 100 percent. I never do that in our business. Yes, our plan is to have him.”
It will depend on how far Jokerit go into the KHL playoffs, but I'm still hopeful that he makes it into the playoffs ? la Kreider in 2012.

Interesting. I don't see how they can expect Tolvanen to come over and play towards the end of the season for a few games, gel with the team and actually be able to help them in the playoffs. He's still only 18 with no professional N.A. experience. And if he's not playing in the playoffs, why bring him in the first place?
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.
Seems like a little bit of an overpay, but really he's the Scott Hartnell successor. Going to be a real roster crunch with Fisher and Tolvanen possibly taking up spots too. Lots of depth if injuries strike again though.
I was also really liking how Ejdsell look over in Europe. Ah well.

(No I don't have a hockey problem...)
A change of scenery will do Hartman well. Hartman has a good shot and wants to play in space rather than be a grinding agitator in the Andrew Shaw mold.

Is Hartman really that good? I haven't seen him play aside from the odd highlight here and there. I mean Poile and co. have definitely earned a reputation to make me think there's something to this (saw the earlier post about Hartman being an RFA).
Would love to hear what people think about him.
