    Default The Next Breakout Team

By breakout I'm talking about the way Winnipeg and Toronto have come into their own this year - a young team that has sucked for a few years but is ready to take the next step.

    Some of my thoughts:

Arizona (I think they will suck for a very long time)
Edmonton (I think they will suck for a long time)
Colorado (I think they may be the next Maple Leafs)

Buffalo. They just need Lehner to have that career yr to cover up a lot of mistakes. Kinda like what Andersen is to the Leafs. Any team that's bad tho just needs to find their goalie.

And some teams are just better at building and rebuilding than others. Edmonton and Arizona have both been bad for a very long time. Edmonton did well in 2006-2007 but aside from that it's just been high draft picks and low standing finishes.

I'm investing in Philly's youth, that team could be a powerhouse in a couple of years.

Definitely Philadelphia. They have a great set of young defenseman starting with Ghost and Provorov. They also have some very good depth up front including Patrick who is starting to figure it out.

I'm on board with Carolina. If Darling gets comfortable and Necas shows he can play here, damn that's going to be a good team.

My money is on Buffalo in two years time.
