In the universe that 2014OG explained that it was a skeleton trade. It was explained that it was the basis of a trade... so I responsed to 2014 that that makes sense. Its in the universe that you don't take the one comment out of context! haha

The universe where B.Ryan's contract is a total anchor to an owner who in theory can't even resign his best player he's ever had on his NHL team. It was just the skeleton of an example where the Caps would get Karlsson too.

Like when someone says "picks/prospects" i thought it was pretty obvious it was a skeleton offer.

One comment? I am referring to the universe where the entire topic of the possibility that Karlsson gets traded is even raised.

Media has brought up the topic.... and there has been 0 argument from from anyone of importance in the Senators organization.

If Karlsson was not going to be traded... management should have held a presser the minute they heard it was a possibility from any medial outlet.

the "Ott is asking for 5-7 pieces in return" rumour was never shot down either. Seems that was leaked info from ott management

If he does get moved in the next 90 minutes I will change my sig to "I was totally wrong about the possibility of Erik Karlsson being traded, and PenguinHunter was right " until the playoffs are over.

(Or something to that effect. We can discuss it).

Well, we can put the "will be traded by the deadline" to rest. Now we can speculate on where he goes in the offseason after the playoffs are over. The concept of offering him a contract extension if he's still a Senator in July means there's a real chance they deal him.

I'd love him in Vegas just for the Karlsson konfusion.
