Default Canucks trade proposal (acquiring Domi)

Given John Chayka's recent history of making trades that highly favor the other team, i believe this is an offer worth accepting
    TO Ari
    - R. Boucher
    - 2018 Second round pick
    TO Van
    - M. Domi
    - 2019 Penguins Sixth round pick

Sorry not even close. That trade wouldn't even be close in a video game so definitely not close to a decent offer in real life.

That is definitely true. However there is a solid point to this deal. Domi has 26 points in 60 games. however when duclair was traded he had 15 points in 33 games putting him on pace for 27 points in 60 games, 1 more point than domi. however duclair was traded for Richard Panik who was on pace for 1 less point than Duclair and he is also 5 years older. here domi has 26 points in 60 games, however on the other end boucher has 44 points in 40 ahl games and in the nhl he is on pace for 15 points in 60 games, only 11 less points than domi, while also playing way less minutes than domi. plus there is only a 1 year age difference. Secondly the second round pick will be 32-37 range, pretty good to make up for 11 points, also a 2019 sixth round pick will be a late round pick, arizona won't nix a good deal like this only to keep a late draft pick as the draft pick makes the trade even steven for both sides.

Ya, Domi and Duclair aren't in the same conversation, and then there's Boucher bringing up the rear. Domi's S% is 3.3% this year. That's ridiculously low. He's snake bitten and they know it. Selling now would be ridiculous, and for someone of his high draft pedigree, they certainly wouldn't do it for someone who is older but has yet to break into the NHL on a regular basis in Boucher and a 2nd.
