Ovi for boeser

Guy in my league wants ovi, he has boeser and we?ve talked back and forth about ovi for boeser. Do I win this deal going forward. I?m out of it this year. League is bringing in hits next year in place of shp.

you can get more.. Ovie's still Ovie 300+sog, 50 goals. Boeser's a ways away from that level (if ever). this needs to be Boeser +

Yep I definitely would want more for Ovi even without counting SOG. The fact you're adding hits next year is just another reason for Boeser not being enough.

Not even close. in 3 years possible 4 you maybe see Boeser over take Ovi in production.

Ovi still has atleast 3 years of top production I think. And Boeser may fall of a cliff after this year.

I have owned Ovi for over 5 years now and at this stage of his career based on age you won't get a fair return. Might be a player you just have to run to the ground instead of looking to trade. I suggest if your league is youth hungry try and acquire the battle tested vets as they win you championships.

That?s the route I?m looking at kind of going. If everyone goes for young guns I?m going to go for players that are going to produce yearly. It?s why I moved my 1st pick this year and have more depth picks. Going to get the gems late haha

I would keep Ovechkin and take those 40+ goals to the bank!! Tons of shots and even though the hits have tailed a bit, you still have a gem!!

I had actually acquired Ovi last season for Nylander in a straight up 1 for 1

Yes yes yes!! I am an Ovechkin owner too. In four years no one has offered up anything resembling OV's value. First he was "almost thirty", then he was "old" now he "on the downside". Pffft!! All he has been is awesome in this time.

All this said... Boeser for OV is as good as an offer as you are going to get for him. If you are looking to change the make up of your team this is not a terrible way to go. But looking at your team you are lacking high-end keepers. Trading OV is only goes to exacerbate this issue for you. You need stronger keepers than Huberdeu/Marner and you should be looking to grab at least one 1st round pick to re-stock the cupboards.

For what it is worth, I think that Backstome is the 7th keeper on your squad.

EDIT E.Kane too (especially with HITS being added to your league next year).

Yes as Moses has said don't let this year fool you I think Backstrom is a keeper ahead of guys like Marner and Huberdeau.
