I'm trying to work a large deal ( trading away Hedman ). I'm in full rebuild mode in a stable longterm dynasty. My roster is so weak that winning now isn't an option. I've moved toward middling young talent with a couple strong options toward the future. But still have 5 complete stream slots and there is no talent on the wire. So I will be working a 4 for 2 or 5 for 3 type deal.
How do you feel about these young D-men longterm? Cats are: G, A, +/- , hits, pims , STP and Def pts

Skjei / Pulock
For me Skjei is the most sound defenceman of the two, Pulock being offensive-prone but also more of a liability defensively so far (we could postulate he's gonna hurt in the +/- department)
10-team Pts only, 19-man roster, 9F, 4D, 2G, 4bench 95M cap league
F: T.Tompson Pasta Kaprizov Rantanen Gaudreau Necas Greig Zegras Vilardi
D: Josi Bouchard Sandin Sanheim
G Shesterkin Samsonov
B: Woll Perfetti Poitras
Farm: Guenther, Will Smith
I switch Pulock and Skjei. In two years I don't see it being close between those two. Were & Chabot are a notch above Pulock though

Pulock has really, absolutely emerged and arrived this calendar year. Obviously flying under the radar for many.
He is top5 in shots/60 and corsi/60 in the league for the whole season. And as the calendar flipped to 2018:
25 games
4+9=13 points, so over a half a point per game.
Three shots per game.
The guy is absolutely killing it right now. And with his pedigree and success at the lower levels, this should come as a no surprise.
Well, back to the topic
Werenski obviously the big name here. But I really can see Pulock giving him a run for his money at this ranking.
Chabot, "on the verge of being a superstar" as named by his magnificent GM Pierre Dorion is having a decent enough rookie campaign, and obviously has high potential. Thus he is ahead of Skjei for me. But Pulock is doing so much right now, that I might be going out for lunch here, but if I was offered Chabot for my Pulock who i own, I would decline.
After years of waiting, Ryan Pulock has arrived, ladies and gentlemen. Thank you.

I totally agree, and I am semi-hijacking this thread just to gush over Pulock. Here's a favorable comparison of him to someone almost everyone would agree is a stud:
Last 30 days
Player A 13 games, 2 goals, 3 assists, +2, 2 PIM, 45 SOG, 26 Hit, 28 Block
Player B 15 games, 2 goals, 3 assists, +6, 2 PIM, 28 SOG, 25 Hit, 25 Block
Player A is Pulock. Player B is Provorov.
Pulock has more dramatically more SOG, slightly more hits and blocks than Provorov... in 2 less games. Oh, and Pulock averaged 19:57 TOI during that period, while Provorov averaged 23:31.
Man, Pulock is looking like he might end up a total stud in kitchen sink leagues...
Skjei will never be offensive dynamo do not even consider.
