The last time it happened for anyone good was OV. I ended up with the top waiver wire spot after the draft and got him off WW. So he was added to the system and immediately went to WW, but that was a decade or so ago.
If/when Tolvanen joins NSH this season, he'll obviously be added to the Yahoo player database. My league in sig features waivers (FAAB style) for 2 days after a player gets dropped, at which then he becomes an FA eligible to be scooped up by anyone at no cost.
My question is once a player is added to Yahoo, will he be on waivers or will he immediately become an FA? I am hoping for the latter as I've burned all my FAAB money for the year.
We just introduced waivers and FAAB this year so not sure how it will work. Anyone have experience with this situation?
Much appreciated.

In a 10 league where we start 3C, 3LW, 3RW, 4D and 2 G daily. It is a H2H league - we keep 3 players (1 G max), are allowed a max of 2 keeps for each player. The number in brackets is the number of keeps I have left:
G, A, +/-, PIMs, PPG, PPA and Shots.
C - Larkin, Couturier, Kopitar, Cirelli
LW - OV, Panarin (1), Schenn (C), Ehlers (RW), Kreider
RW - Kucherov (0), Seguin (C), Palmieri, Voracek, Yamamoto
D - Yandle, DeAngelo
W, GAA, SV% and Saves.
G - Rask, Varlamov, Hart, Mrazek
IR+ - Tarasenko
The last big one I remember was actually Radulov when he came back the first time to Nashville. Same idea though

May be different by league setup, but Nathan Gerbe was just added to Yahoo and he's now on waivers until Feb 25th. I assume any other additions including Tolvanen will be treated the same.

Usually these players follow the same waiver process as is standard in your league. Basically it just acts as though the player was dropped.
