Default Help ranking prospects for a new GM

    Hey everyone,

This is my first deep league like this and I was wondering I could get some help ranking these prospects. Some of these guys are currently playing in the NHL but I'm looking for overall upside combined with certainty to reach that potential.

Scoring is G,A,SHP,PPP+/-,SOG,Hits,Blk for skaters. Thanks!!

Here's my first attempt at a few tiers of what I'd consider to be top prospects, let me know how wrong I am...

    Hischier
    Pettersson
    Patrick
    Kaprizov
    Tolvanen
    Tippett
    Suzuki
    Glass

    Makar
    Heiskanen
    Necas
    Thomas

    Puljujarvi
    Strome
    Conner
    Merkley
    Roy
    Chychrun
    Chytil
    Eriksson Ek
    Vilardi

    Gaudette
    Vesalainen
    Heponiemi
    Fischer
    Konecny
    Debrusk
    Sprong
    Bjork

Overall good list, I would put borgstrom where Tippett is. I would put Tippett middle of tier 2. I would put vesalainen
under necas. I would put konecny at the very top of tier 1 cause of his hot streak. I would swap chytil and debrincat with no sang and chychren putting chytil higher.i would put hei men middle of tier 2, Conner top 3 of tier 1

Welcome to the forums. That's a lot of names to sort through.

This is a good place to start to try and help thin the pack.

To the OP, beware of Dobber's prospect rankings. I find that they emphasize the value of production in the short-term to a huge degree. If you are not concerned about short-term then I wouldn't use this list at all other than to identify potential names so that you can do your own research.

Thanks, it certainly seemed that way when I looked the rankings over. That makes a lot of sense as I'm much more concerned with long-term production and upside.
