Default Dougie Hamilton for Crawford and Galchenyuk

I'm in second right now in the pool but my goaltending situation can't carry me and there's no other way to get a goalie. I either hold and hope that Mrazek gets traded, or do this trade and hope Crawford comes back.

If I did do this trade I would likely drop Mrazek or Markstrom to make space for Crawford, and drop Spooner and Guentzel to fit in Galchenyuk and add a d man from FA (one of Schmidt, Pateryn, Seabrook or Martinez).

Thoughts? Is Crawford done or back for March 5th?

    Thank you!

Acquiring Crawford is not a move I would make. The situation lacks certainty. You would be giving up one of your top D for a player who has no set return date on a team that is nearly in the cellar, just above the Soilers in the standings. Chicago doesnt have a lot of urgency to bring Crawford back this year.
Hamilton is a significant asset, I own him so I know. He is a monster 2nd half player. If you are striving for 1st he is not the guy you want to move.

I'd not do that, because you're not getting anything assured, and giving up something sure.

I'd much rather take a chance on the Flyers' next starting goalie, whomever that is. They should cheaper than that, may even be on the wire.

Agree... too risky to trade for someone who is not guaranteed to come back this season, particularly trading away an asset like Hamilton who is playing great. There have to be better options out there.

I was leaning against it for the same reasons. Hard pass. Thanks!
