I wholeheartedly disagree. Having players skating past fighting guys at full speed is a recipe for a disaster. Entertaining maybe, but more likely just disastrous on the whole.
They should let the play continue while guys fight. That would add a great element to the game...skating around the guys who are fighting and all.

(No I don't have a hockey problem...)
lol that would be pretty entertaining. But yeah that would be fairly dangerous.
Oh course I was kidding but it would be quite the spectacle. Also highlights what a relic fighting is in today’s younger guy/speed game.
They should just have guys fighting the entire game. When they get tired, they change shifts and the next fighter comes on. If you knock your opponent down with a punch, its a goal.
Since the NHL seems to have decided we all like 4-on-4 so much, and since fighting is so popular, 2 guys from each team should be fighting at all times, in certain designated areas like the faceoff circles, while the other 4 from each team continue to play wide open hockey. Winning a fight means the next faceoff occurs in your opponent's zone.
I like where the future of the sport lies.
