Arvidsson - I'll Rep

What should we expect for him, points wise for the rest of the season? He's sitting at 18 g, 19 a in 54 games. His powerplay production leaves something to be desired, 1 powerplay goal, 5 powerplay assists. He's getting opportunities though, his TOI/G is up 58 seconds this year, pp time 35 seconds, and shorthanded time 32 seconds. He's on pace for 55 pts in 80 games, which seems realistic for him but he's played at a 60 pt pace in Jan/Feb so far. Nashville also seems to be healthy finally. Arvy's shooting % is 11.2, so a little below last years (12.6).

I have been looking into Landeskog as well, but what concerns me about him is his shooting %. I still feel like Arvidsson has the higher goal upside, which counts for more in my format. Landeskog is at 2.33 fp/g right now, and Arvidsson 2.02, so a decent difference but Colorado has been without MacK lately, and he'll be back soon, so I feel Landy probably still has the higher fp/g upside, even if his goal rate slows? Both guys have 26 games remaining, so how do you think Landy's stat line will look for rest of season in comparison?

I don't own either guy right now, but might move Kopitar for 1 of them and a 3rd round pick. I will have to shed a contract in the off-season (either Kop or Patches), and I'm in a fight for 4th place (last money position), and would be losing best player, but the other gm expressed interest in Kop not surprisingly, so worth considering. Deals could dry up in the off-season, then I'll be forced to buyout of 1 year of Patches or Kopitar (50$). Not the end of the world if I have to go that route, but I would obviously prefer to extract value. I'm just not sure I can afford to lose Kop right now, considering my other starter options will be Arvidsson, Guentzel and Horvat. I do expect Kopitar's goal production to slow down some for ROS, but he's been so consistent so I don't see his points drying up. I just want to add that I just traded for Kopitar around the all-star break, and wasn't planning to flip him at this point, but got a decent offer so thought it was worth looking into.

Patches is having a bad year, so he's obviously not drawing interest. Neither guy is a sexy name at the best of times. Top 4 in our league place in the money, and I'm likely not getting into the Top 3 given the teams ahead.

Well you've done your homework. Gut feel time!! Stats can only take you so far ya know??? Both Landy and Arvy are great options for you. In your previous post I indicated that Landy is my first choice and Arviddson second. I haven't changed my opinion (:

Oh I don't disagree, it's just I would be moving Kopitar, and getting 1 of those guys and a pick. It's shedding a contract now vs in the off-season, but I'm also in competition for the last money spot, so that's why I'm conflicted.

OK got it. Well, if I'm in your shoes I go for the money and the best finish I can this year. You have all summer to plan your strategy, make your moves, and have a great season next year.

I won't be looking at either of those guys in the off-season, my keepers are already set except for my Kop vs Patches decision. I was only looking at arvid or landy to replace some of the offence I would lose from Kop for ROS. I didn't end up doing the deal though, I want to stay as competitive as possible and try to win some money still!
