    Default Late Season Peripheral beasts

As we gear up for the playoffs. I thought a thread dedicated to under the radar peripheral monsters would be a good idea.

one I've added in two pools is Greg Pateryn. in the past month, he has 34 hits, 43 blocks and 31 SOG in the past 13 games... he's also only owned in 11% of leagues on Fantrax

Nicolas Deslauriers has 65 hits in the same time frame - most in the NHL 11% owned

Jaimie Oleksiak, might be on few more radars, but none-the-less - 23PIM, 47 hits - 13% owned

Petrovic (46) & Haley are tops in PIM (67) over the last 31 days and both 9% owned.

Pateryn is a great pickup in kitchen sink leagues.

Not as "under the radar" really, but Edler has been a multi-cat stud and chipping in decent point totals this year (horrible +/- though)

Forbort comes to mind as far as lesser owned guys. Zadorov too.

hmm... I have to disagree.. Forbort is owned in 25% and Edler is 47% owned a vet and a well known player. They, as well as Zadorov were bangers previous to this season. Pateryn is owned in 60% less leagues than Forbort and has collected over 40% of his hits, sog 35% of his blocks in the past 13 games, not to mention his TOI has climbed 3+min/game in over the past 5 games.

UFA searches in most leagues didn't pick up Pateryn as an option to consider in late November. Right now.. he's the best available beast.

Fair enough, as I reread the initial post I can see the focus is more on the real unknown guys . I suppose I've seen both Zadorov and Forbort floating around in a couple of leagues so they came to mind, but not super deep leagues.

Regardless a good topic, those stat stuffing guys can be so important in making a run.

Not sure if Jenner, Foligno, and Dubinsky fit here. They don't provide the most offence (Jenner has been snake bitten all season) and don't play on the PPP (Except Foligno), but they can provide in other categories.

    On Yahoo:
    Foligno (40% Owned)
    Jenner (14% Owned)
    Dubinsky (11% Owned)
    Yahoo! H2H, Daily Starts, Min 3 G starts/Week, Max 2 Pick Ups/Week.

G, A, PPP, SHP, PIM, SOG, FW, HIT, BLK, W, GAA, SV%

    2 C: JT Miller, Giroux
    3 W: B. Tkatchuk, Toffoli, S. Reinhart
4 D: Hamilton, Heiskanen, Nurse, Sanheim
    2 G: Venecek, Jarry
4 BN: Wilson, Nelson, Svechnikov, Barkov
    2 IR: Meier

Pateryn and Edler have been great roto guys recently.

Zadorov sin't valuable enough for me in kitchen sink leagues. As a dman you need blocks, or points, or lots of PIMs, along with your hits and sog. If not you are replaceable.

You already said it... but I can add one more sneaky pick - Brandon Tanev when healthy. Owned just 1%

Tanev is all hits. I think I'd choose a william Carrier or similar option before I went Tanev
