I like MacKinnon a lot (he's on my team, and he's been sought after for years) but I view Klingberg as safer at a a scarcer spot. And I'm not sure I'd take MacKinnon over Scheifele. If you end up with the #1 overall, you can set it up how you like.

I just traded Scheifele and my 8th pick for Forsberg and a 3rd pick. Team is 2nd last and won't finish higher than that. Forsberg has a good playoff schedule. I like the deal overall.
Makes my keeper decisions a 3 horse race I believe.

This is where I'm leaning as well. Top end forwards seem to be key in my league (deepest position) and there's a very good chance I can get klingberg back next year, schiefele will now be kept.
The only monsters that I'm really interested in are McDavid and Kucherov, neither gm will budge.

Well trade deadline has come and gone. My league got super tight with draft picks with 1st place being locked up even though 2nd to 4th pay and its a dog fight. Plus playoffs pay as well.
Couldn't get any picks worth improving. Offers were like 5th and 6th rounders for Klingerberg and Getzlaf. As my 7th rounder would be going back it just wasn't worth giving them up over using them in a playoff push.
I have a great playoff schedule (outside of maybe Crosby) with some injury depth and a droppable goalie at a certain point in Talbot. I think there's no doubt I have the best team going into the playoffs and another thank you to everyone that contributes on the forum.
Picks next year: 1,1,2,3,3,4,4,5,5,6,7 (I have a massive edge here, no one is even close)
