Default Use #3 waiver on Talbot?

    Hey guys...

Talbot was just dropped. And I'm wondering if I should scoop him up.

    I know he's been awful....but I can't help but think he'd be a good pick up.

I have Crawford and Schneider on IR - not sure when they'll be back so am rolling with Quick and Kuemper....

Would having him help me with two starters, and would he be worth keeping until next year over the other guys. Is this year just a blip? So many questions.

The rest of my team is solid and I can't see anyone else dropping a player that will help me more this year worth dropping another one of my guys for so this may be my only chance to use the waiver on someone who may or may not make an impact.

    Weird.

    Goalie stats - W, GAA, SV%, SO

Healthy goalies - Quick and Kuemper
    IR goalies - Crawford, Schneider.

    I'm questioning for 2 things....

1 - would Talbot be a better keeper for next year than those 3
2 - Schneider and Crawfords health....should I grab Talbot and use him.

My skaters are all top notch and if theres anyone dropped worth replacing them I'm sure the #1 or 2 guy would scoop them so this would be a chance to use the 3rd...

Or should I just stay away...

I'd grab him for use this year, but he's not an upgrade as a goalie keeper.

So you think this will be more the norm not the exception?

Honestly I think it would be worth dropping Kuemper for Talbot. Quick is struggling but he has had a good year overall and you will be kicking yourself if you don't go for Talbot. I don't know when Quick will get it back on the rails but dropping Kuemper for Talbot is a worthy pickup IMO. As far as keeper status, I think he might be better than Crawford at this point...he might be a sliver below Schneider.

I think I would. It's late in the season so I don't know if it's worth waiting any longer to use you #3 spot. Assuming Talbot is a pretty high end drop in your league.

I'd use the waiver on him and drop Keumper. As to next year, I'd want to see off-season changes but there's a chance I'd keep Talbot over Crawford.
