Default How do you consume sports?

I have been waiting way too long to do this but I think I'm done with Cogeco and want to get some kind of streaming box.

It seems everyone I Know has a different one though so I have no idea which is best. I just know I would definitely save some money but also have a better product.

    Any tips?

I go via PC thru HDMI to my TV. Nothing fancy and a bit klunky however it meets my requirement of minimal $ for maximum result. Then i use reddit or sportsme.hd for my signal.

Unfortunately everything is cyclical so you will have to change sites/platforms constantly. Android boxes (Kodi + apps) go through their ups and downs. So do regular web browsers (stream + HDMI to TV) and everything else. Right now laptop -> stream -> TV works best for me.

I'm old school, I consume lawfully.

Just curious, for those doing the streaming thing - do you use a VPN?

I use a VPN sometimes but not for the purpose of streaming.

My room mate pays for cable, so that's how I watch baseball and hockey in my office while I'm supposed to be working. Otherwise though streaming does me just fine. Reddit seem to be able to find any game I want to watch with a reliable connection. For hockey my Rogers cell service includes Gamecentre, so that's super convenient as well. Reddit always has the games though anyhow, so I'd be able to watch them regardless.

VPN isn't a bad idea, but from what I understand the laws around streaming in Canada are still so poorly defined that there's nothing your ISP can really do about it anyhow, so it might not be entirely necessary.

DAZN for all NFL games (and KHL if you're into that non-sense...) and i believe its $120 for the year? fairly reasonable and everything is HD quality + no buffering. For hockey you can find home and away feeds on reddit and 95% of the time its great quality streams. PC -> HDMI -> TV.
